The only drawback is that you can't save your videos to your computer or bring them into a video editor as parts of larger projects. In the past I've done similar video lessons using my digital camera a pencil and paper. While its fairly easy to do this way Sketchcast is easier.

Sketch Cast
I've recently been introduced to Sketchcast. I'm not going to bother trying to describe it. Here's a video I created using it.
